Book Cover Design - Design Essentials

My book "Design Essentials for the Motion Media Artist" is written for people who want to get into motion Graphic Design but do not have the formal training or qualifications required. It gets you up to speed on the basic principles of design, animation, editing, composition, colour, typography and more. I needed a cover design for the book so decided to do it myself using elements from the book including the RYB color wheel, Muybridge's pioneering photographs, some of my favourite drawing tools and of course the ubiquitous Golden Ratio - the designer's best friend. Design and layout was done with Adobe InDesign.
